FIRST IN A NEW SERIES FROM THE BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF THE DARK ONES NOVELS! Outcast due to their ability to manipulate time, shunned by the mortal and immortal worlds alike, a Traveller’s life is anything but easy. Peter Faa is a member of the Watch tracking down a murderer, and unfortunately, all clues seem to point toward his own estranged family of Travellers. Any of his cousins could be guilty, but which one? They’re all experts in the art of stealing time... After surviving a lightning strike, Kiya Mortenson is determined to get just one thing in her life right. And if that means taking a job as nanny to five pugs on a campsite in the Oregon wilderness, then so be it. It doesn’t hurt that the job comes with some spectacular male eye candy, including her new boss’s gorgeous grandson. If only she didn’t keep having this strange sense of deja vu... When Peter discovers his own family is stealing time from Kiya, all bets are off. While she may drive him crazy at times, it’s clear that it’s not just lightning that’s creating some serious sparks between them. And he’s not going to let secrets, lies, or a devious murderer keep Kiya from where she belongs: at his side.

Kiya Mortenson Peter Moore FaaIt took me a while to get into this book. I liked both Peter and Kiya but I really only liked when they were interacting with each other. Of course with necessary world building they were not together much until about half way through. After that it was all sunshine and...
I'm always amazed at what MacAlister can do for a story. She has the unique ability to take something ordinary and make it extraordinary.
3.5 actually. Set apparently in the same world as the dragons and the dark ones. (would be nice to occasionally read of a new series that isn't joined at the hip to an old series). As per Ms MacAlister's usual style, at least part is in first person. Some people find this a turnoff. I'm largely...
♥♥♥♥4 Time Stealing Stars♥♥♥♥Here's the story: Meet Kiya:She is down on her luck. She's been recently unemployed, broke, with a crappy car, and stuck in the middle of nowhere. She's rescued by a random guy and told about a job taking care of his grandmother's dogs. When she goes to the job, she's tr...
I used to love Katie MacAlister's books, especially the dragon series. But her usual operus modis of I-can't-tell-you, missed opportunities and mainly misunderstandings is starting to annoy me strongly. In the Time Thief most of the problems wouldn't be any problems if one or all of the characters wo...
