This is the fifth (and as of yet final) novel in the Parasol Protectorate novels about Alexia Tarabotti, and as a result, this review will contain spoilers for previous books in the series, and the book will not be as satisfying to you if it's the first one you pick up. Go read Soulless instead.Book...
Alexandria, EgyptI found this Victorian dress on Pinterest, pinned from “Old Rags” website. Its practical nature would surely appeal to Alexia Tarabotti, Lady Maccon.★★★★½ (This is a review of the audiobook.) Ah! My little kumquats, I do so love this series. Sorry to see this fifth and final book ...
This did not feel like the end of this series. The storylines felt rushed, but I loved the time period it was set in. Carriger is going to write more about the Parasol Protectorate with Prudence and that should be a hoot to read.
I really liked this last book in the Parasol Protectorate series. Yes it's very fluffy, but so was the first book, so not that much has changed. This episode brings us the end of some of the mysteries of Soulless (Alexia’s dad, the GBP, somewhat the OBO) but didn’t fully reveal everything. After all...
*Genre* Steampunk, Romance*Rating* 3.5*Review*Timeless, by Gail Carriger, is the last book in the Parasol Protectorate series. The story actually picks up two years after Heartless where we find Alexia, Conall & Lord Akeldama abiding by their agreement with vampire Countess Nadasdy in allowing Akeld...
I LOVE the Macon family. Little Prudence is just the cherry on the sundae of this family. As always our cast of supporting characters were their lively lovely selves. I did enjoy the foray into Biffy and Layall story a bit. I'm still a bit confused as to the goings on with Floote. I would definitely...
I am very sad to see this series end, but look forward to the spinoff. We see Alexia, Conall, and all the others get their happily ever afters of sorts. All pervious story lines are all wrapped up into tidy little ends. Prudence is so darling and I am truly fascinated to see where the spin off takes...
I love these books. They are so much fun, and so witty and smart and just all around enjoyable. I loved the whole extended family dynamic, with Lord Akeldama's household, the London pack, and Alexia, Conall, and Prudence... one big happy family. But the real shining star for me here was Biffy. He wa...
Just excellent. I could not put it down after about 1/3 of the way into the novel. I have loved the characters from the beginning - starting with Soulless - and watching them all develop in unexpected ways, with unexpected depths, throughout the series has been pure enjoyment. The culmination of...
