Absolutely loving this series. This book goes in a somewhat different direction than the first two books, but has the same twists and turns that keep the reader in suspense right up until the end.
Was not thrilled with the baby/Agent Dean story line. It didn't make sense to me and it didn't really fit with the character. It felt rushed and out of place, based on the feel of the rest of the novel and the character work from the previous two books.Thought that the prologue gave the game away-...
I listen to this series more for the characters than the plot but in this entry I found the plot very compelling and was pleased that Dr. Isles took center stage. I listened to the audio version read by Anna Fields.

An excellent follow-up to The Apprentice, and Jane's character has mellowed out just a bit, though she still has her edge. This one follows Maura Isles a little more, and we get some of her backstory. The more I read, the more I like these characters.
Another good, fast paced book. These books really keep me interested. Gerittsen does a great job of keeping the reader enthralled.Definitely starting to like Jane better. I hope to seeker growth in her friendship with Maura.
