It had moments, some funny lines and a very sexy Scot. But to me it read like endless babble on little details and not enough on the couple. The father, the mother, the friends, the ex, the gay friend, the school, the sisters, and oh the dog was talked about endlessly. I couldn't enjoy the book with...

I loved this book! I laughed, I cried, I got angry at characters and I related to characters! The ending was great and the entire book was really well written!

There were a few real laugh out loud moments in here, but overall this was too chick-lit for my tastes. I can definitely see the appeal, but it just wasn't for me.

This was a really strong 3 "I liked it." I feel kinda weird rating this one because I have mixed feelings about various aspects. This book was my first by Kristan Higgins, and I have to agree with the readers who think her stories read more like chick-lit than straight up romance. That said, I liked...

1.5 starsCharacter and style is breezy and casual. I did laugh at bits, esp. with the family and the mom. But really, enough talk about girly parts and being horny. Have a modicum of class, if possible? That tone really distanced me from the story and protagonist quickly. And I never cared enough ab...

This book.. The beginning was a little slow, mostly because it was awkward. Higgins managed to make me feel what the heroine (probably) felt and it was an emotional struggle to see her baby-sister with Andrew. I'm not like Grace, more like her sister Margs (I probably shouldn't have said that..) but...

This book was full of WHY'D YOU GO AND DO THAT?? conflict, which is not something I generally care for. This was no exception, unfortunately. For the majority of the book, I found myself hating most of the main characters, with the exception of Cal (who, really, saved the book for me).I enjoyed th...

Wonderfully bittersweet with family drama, boyfriend troubles, great friends, a job she loves, and then, finally realizing who she really loves. Grace is a great character, I love her, and her mom is such an eccentric artist with her lady-parts made of glass :D
