This is our personal guide to Spain and especially the southern province of Andalucia. We decided to buy a house many years ago and now we live there for part of the year. We enjoy the long hot summers and are lucky to have at least 2 months in Spain interspersed with visits from our family and friends. As it is one of our travel guides, this book combines Spain's history, people and customs. We take an in depth look at food and drink, including many original recipes. We also have an essential Spanish language section.

For you to enjoy the magic of Spain you need to slow down to Spain’s relaxed pace of life. The best things in our opinion are the beaches, the views, the people, the festivals and the food.
As with all of our adventure travel guides we are writing about a place we know well and spend a lot of time in. We describe living in Spain with our personal anecdotes so you can learn about the country in an easily accessible way.
