Your brain is an incredible machine. In 2005, the National Science Foundation published an article regarding research about human thoughts per day. Each day, we have between 50-70,000 thoughts that float through that sponge on top of our necks. Let's break that down. That's 35-48 thoughts per minute. Of those thoughts, 80% are negative and 95% are exactly the same thoughts we had yesterday. Holy cow. No wonder we get stuck in ruts and find ourselves repeating mistakes! All of this repetitive negativity has a real effect on our bodies which results in changes in the quality of our communication, both internal and external. It changes the way we think, feel and act. This is the mind-body-spirit connection and when we aren't feeding it correctly we will start to feel it in everything we do. We have a spiritual emergency! When we feel stress and anxiety our bodies will cry out for help and tell us that something just isn't right. I know you've experienced it. Remember that massive project at work where nothing went right? It's consumed your life for weeks. Your blood pressure skyrocketed, your stomach warned you with a bout of ulcers that had you popping Tums like gumdrops. The warrior in you refused to give up. The result? You were rewarded with a new project and you get to start all over again! Yikes. No wonder we feel so miserable. The good news is, if you can recognize a negative or limiting thought you can consciously choose to change it. In this book I will take you through the steps of identifying limiting thoughts and moving beyond them into a healthier, happier frame of mind. Remember: It takes 21 days to break a habit and create a new one – not much time and a relatively small commitment, but the results can powerfully impact both your thoughts and your overall health. So what are you waiting for?
