I found this collection uneven, but it's difficult to articulate why. I thought part one dreary and uninspired, while part two was achingly beautiful. The experiences you end up accumulating in life bleed into connections to other stories. I read fiction because it draws worlds just as deep, glorious and unknown as the ones we keep to ourselves.

Really like this author. I want to savor the last half of short stories, so will put it down for now, enjoy the memories of the first half, and look forward to the rest.
