This book had some funny parts and the plot certainly moved along. But I think I just like the Aisling books better. May & Gabriel just seem kind of boring to me compared to Aisling & Drake. I also felt like there was a lot of mental lusting in this one, which isn't my favorite thing either. But...
Thought this book was adequate but that it lacked the wit and charm of the Aisling Grey series. The main problem, for me, was Cyrene who did not appeal to me at all. I kept hoping KM would kill her off, (sadly she doesn't and we're subjected to her again in book 2), or at least, send her to Abbadon....
MacAlister's wonderful blend of humor and romance makes time pass quickly. It was two in the morning before I realized it and I still didn't want to put it down.
