This is a new fairy tale, with those same bizarre, surreal, even disturbing aspects, and yet also that childlike wonder. I didn't read this for a long time, and I'm glad I finally got around to this: it's fun, it's charming, and it's about a girl who speaks machine. Just absolutely fantastic.
