6 Stars! This 6th installment is the best so far. I enjoyed the Tom/Stanley interactions more than ever, no relationship angst this time. Tom is at his most charming and Stanley isn't doing anything to tempt himself. The mystery was fun and, of course, well written. Absolutely recommended.
The 6th book of the Deadly series, opens with Chris Rafferty (Tom and Stanley's friend) stumbles into a cold body on his bed, while he is staying at Winter Beach Inn, the gay inn, in Palm Springs. He quickly calls Tom and Stanley, so then the couple leaves to Palm Springs, in order to comfort Chris,...
Read the full review at reviewsbyjessewave.comThis short story was a fine little piece of enjoyment to me. The writing was great. Smooth, flawless, funny and tongue-in cheek, but with just the right amount of seriousness to keep the story from being superficial. Although there was barely any on-pag...
This book had a lot of dangling threads and I started to wonder how it was going to come together but Banis managed to pull it off. While I sometimes felt that the story meandered a bit, in the end I realized that it hadn't it was just the journey the characters needed to take. All of the characters...
The 5th book from Deadly Mystery series (is this the last or will there be more?) feels like an "afterthought" or one of those "after the happily ever after" situation. I feel like the mystery itself takes the backseat ... because to be perfectly honest, clues for the the perp are pretty obvious (if...

A compendium of human peculiarities: selfishness, cowardice, egocentricity, foolishness, lust, greediness, pride, fortitude... It's a very endearing reading but the end is slightly disappointing. Especially Jake's death is an extreme hymn to Lola allure, but it's unjustified or however badly orchest...
If you're thinking about reading the fifth book in the Deadly Mysteries, you already know who Stanley and Tom are. :) This was a good m/m mystery - but be warned (this shouldn't be a surprise, either) that there is angst. Would it be Tom and Stanley without angst?
Book #4 of the Deadly series is my favorite by far. First, the mystery is solid. It has this dark, sinister feel to it, especially with the crime related to a funeral home. Second, a couple secondary characters, who also have their own voice mentioned are likeable and their "voice" doesn't take over...
