Holy shiznets, Sanderson, holy shiznets.Let me just tell you: if you started reading this book and were confused and lost and discouraged in the beginning, you probably want to keep going because this is an oh-my-gods-what-beautiful-perfection book.It drags you into the plot and the perfectly real, ...

I would have given it four stars, but the ending was really abrupt and less polished than the rest of the book, which sort of ruined the experience for me.

3.5 stars. This review originally posted at The BibliosanctumIt's official. I've been thoroughly spoiled by The Way of Kings and the newer novellas that Sanderson has written in the last couple of years. Anyway, let's first start with what this book is about. Wow, the last third of the book was explosive! Suddenly everything happened at once and though it was slightly too chaotic to follow, it was really exciting. DANG! I was just about finished with a great and long review of Warbreaker when my kindle slipped and I accidently closed with out saving. Now I'm out of energy and time, so Warbreaker is going to have to settle for the condensed version of my thoughts. The book is great. Shrek would say its like an ...

I was very critical of the author’s debut work, ‘Elantris’, feeling that although it had an awesome magic system, the characters were cardboard and the plot mostly flat. This one is not simply better, it’s in a different league altogether. Another awesome magic system, plus well-developed characters...
