Warpize is the first book in the series, and books 1-3 could actually be one big book, since there are no breaks between books, it just starts off from where the previous book left off. Now for quite some time I kept putting these books off, but I finally decided I needed to try it. Now after readin...

Someone recommended this book on an "If you liked Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel's Dart" forum. That was literally the worst recommendation ever.Cardboard characters, mundane plot, and romantic cliches all abound in this incredibly ho-hum, stagnant excuse for a story. This series was one of my favorites last year. The compassion, and honor manifest in the main character, and the honor manifest in the main characters, was just so endearing. A believable "world", good characters, good fun!

It isn't the most amazing thing I have ever read but it isn't horrible either. There are some pacing issues and well... very little besides Lara getting to know the culture of this people happens. There is very little action but the prose is good and so is the world building.

Warprize will sweep you away. Into a new land with new people, their customs, the politics, and into the arms of Keir the Warlord.A well written fantasy romance. It has just enough world building to pull you in but not overwhelm you. The characters, Lara and Keir, are addictive. And the plethora of ...
