Dreadful. Unlikable characters trapped in a ridiculous premise which is supposed to be humorous but is actually rather depressing and borderline creepy. So glad this was a library borrow and not something I spent money on although I wish I could get a refund on the time I spent reading it.
Book at Beachtime3* The Book Lovers' Appreciation SocietyOTBR Remember Me? 1* Wedding Night There is chick-lit, and then there is crap. This belongs firmly in the latter category!NEXT!
This one was just OK for me. There were parts of it that I enjoyed but I found the whole ruining the wedding night slapstick a bit thin. Before that happened there were some fun scenes. I truly laughed out loud while reading [b:I've Got Your Number|12033455|I've Got Your Number|Sophie Kinsella|ht...
I’ve liked every other book that’s come from Sophie Kinsella, until this one. This novel has me divided. On one hand, I like the protagonists, the two sisters, both in their thirties. On the other hand, the story of those two sisters, the entire conflict is based on one triviality: un-slackened lust...
I’m a fan of Sophie Kinsella’s work so going into this book, I was pretty excited. I loved Can You Keep a Secret? and her last book, I’ve Got Your Number. Both books had me bent over at the waist, laughing my guts out but I can’t say the same for this one. This book wasn’t the worst book ever but i...
This wasn't as much fun as other books by Sophie Kinsella but it wasn't terrible, either. It seemed to have more ridiculous points than funny. I also felt more of a connection with Fliss than with Lottie, who, I think, was the main character. But, it wasn't bad, just not great.
I absolutely Love Sophie Kinsella's writing. Adore all of her books. I liked that it was written from the perspective of 2 different women. The storyline made me smile. This was not one of my favorite Kinsella novels (usually I'm cracking up when I read her books) but I loved it anyway.
Wedding Night is a chick lit comedy about two sisters. Lottie is carefree, starry-eyed and a hopeless romantic. Fliss is responsible, sensible, nurturing and protective. The book begins with Lottie breaking up with Richard "The One." Within pages, she rushes into a rebound marriage by way of marriag...
Quickie Review:This has to have been the least enjoyable Sophie Kinsella book I have ever read. The novel focuses on Lottie who splits with the love of her life at the start of the novel because he doesn’t want to marry her and before you know it within a month she is madly in love with someone else...
