As the 2016 election bears down on us there are two potential candidates that stand out far more than the rest. One is a member of a political dynasty that has had a member of the family either in office or running for office almost nonstop since the 1970’s. Hillary Clinton has been working up to the Presidency for quite a long time and her resume is longer and more robust than perhaps any other candidate.

Donald Trump on the other hand has a resume of a completely different kind. A self made billionaire that lives by his own rules. He wants to take on the establishment. Being worth billions of dollars he doesn’t have to sit down with any major campaign contributor. He doesn’t have to take notes with campaign staff members to make sure that his talking points match the requested criteria of the funders.

Trump is funding himself, a rather unique feat in history, and this means that being free from the clutches of financial political handlers, Trump is not constrained to what some wealthy financier wants him to do. Putting the whole political system on its head, Trump is the wealthy financier and candidate rolled into one. This election has the potential to be one of the greatest political match ups in history.
