3,2 starsWicked Gentlemen consist of two books. In spite of I enormously enjoyed the first book, the second book didn't meet my expectations. It is the reason for my muted reaction. Full review will come later. I hope. I'm slightly disappointed right now.

The body count was too high for me, but it's the page turner everyone said it would be. I'm impressed with how sympathetic Hale shows the unsympathetic characters to be.

Not the book's fault -- definitely mine. I cannot seem to have the chemistry with the writing nor the world-built.
