The Trogats and Borogs are two races of winged beings in the fantasy world of Pagon. These two races have been at war with each other for as long as any can remember. Even the long-living elves cannot tell of a time when these two were not at each other's throats and only the gods know why their ancestors settled right next to one another millennia ago in the Ganemi Valley. The feud between the winged men of Pagon is age old and their underhandedness, legendary.
This tale follows the lives of certain Trogats and Borogs as they experience and react to the ancient feud in different ways.
Mesa Volland is a young Trogat girl who wants nothing more than for the feud to end, but her view on the issue is shaken, altered and tested in ways she never imagined.
Rena Volland, a great General in the Trogat armies wants nothing more than to see her daughter happy, but not so much that she would give in to the girl when it came to matters of the war.
General Mern Venu, a borog General who raises and loves a trogat child within a borog city. Many are not happy with Mern's actions, but he is cousin to the king and if the king wills it, then it is so. However, this cousin-king becomes a problem to General Mern when he sets his sights on Mern's trogat 'daughter', Brenna.
These characters and several others show their passion, love, determination, stubbornness, bravery and a significant amount of madness as they tackle the unforeseen problems a racial war like theirs can cause.
