Exciting stuff. I love fantasy! I was not a fan of Kamala in book 1, but here I liked her better. I think much of my dislike had to to with poor Andovai, whom I really liked and then he died cos of her sucking the soulfire out of him. Seems Friedman sure like killing people.Right, great world. Second book in the trilogy and we get pulled even more deeply into this dark but fascinating world. I love how diverse the characters are, how many shades of grey there are. Can't wait for the unavoidable final battle!
It was. . .okay. I came into it with fairly low expectations, since I didn't think much of Feast of Souls, and it never really rose above them. Realizing I could read it as a Dragonriders of Pern parody did give me some unexpected entertainment, though. I'll probably get the third out of the library...
