Not my favorite among Pratchett’s books but it’s an OK novel. The old godmother Desiderata dies and leaves her wand and instructions to the youngest of the local witches, Magrat. According to Desiderata’s will, Magrat must travel to Genua to stop a young girl from marrying a prince. Of course, the ...

I think this book gives me a good idea of what the Discworld series as a whole is like, and I can pretty much sum it up in one word: cute. Well, maybe one more word: quirky. Quirky and cute. And those are two things that I can definitely appreciate.Witches Abroad (and the other Discworld books I ...

I love the Witches series of Discworld. Pratchett is always a great story, great characters, with witty dialog memorable descriptions and a message. Everything means something in Discworld. Stories have to start somewhere, and some people are catalysts that cause stories to begin. The Lancre witches are such a group. Magrat is suddenly a fairy godmother, on ...

The very first T.Pratchett I managed to read in English. Took me a while, but hey - it was totally worth it! (since then, I generally try to read him in original) The witches are amazing. And the travelling advice was very very good, too ;)

My Rating:8/10My Take:Well what can I say? Terry Pratchett is Brilliant. The book consists of a bunch of stories all bunched into one, red riding hood, sleeping beauty etc. But Cinderella is the main premises. This book kept me constantly laughing and always had interesting twists and turns! The 3 wit...
