I enjoyed this first part of Wool - although it took me way too long to get through it. It's a well-written short story that grabs your attention, but I don't think it's quite worth all the hype. The vision of the future is interesting though and that part I enjoyed.

amazing world building and character creation in so few words. The tension and my curiosity keep me turn pages. Short, brilliant now I need to read the rest

New treatment of a dystopian future in underground silos. Could not put down. Get the omnibus edition for books 1-5 of Wool.

I knew it would leave things unanswered (as it is so short and I knew there were more installments) but I didn't want it to have *quite* as much of a cliffhanger as that. Brilliant writing though. I was thoroughly intrigued and I tho...

A great short start into the series of short stories and novellas. Sometimes, I never know what I'm in the mood for until it hits me over the head, and Hugh Howey didn't use a piece of wool. Unless that piece of wool had a little something extra hid inside it, of course. Getting into the rest now...
