I was pleasantly surprised. I'd like to continue the series, but my library only had the first book. I'll get to them all, it'll just take a little bit.

I've read this authors Jill Kismet series, and decided to try to read this series. I've read other peoples reviews, and found this book to be pretty good, although, not excellent. I do apppreciate the world building that Ms Saintcrow characters find themselves in. Dante's character is a hard-as-nail...

I really enjoyed this book. It is completely different from any demon book I have read. Dante is called and forced to work for Lucifer himself and is given a demon familiar. I think Danny was very surprised by how she felt about the demon. She starts to trust him and depend on him while she is h...

Excellent urban fantasy for fans of Jim Butcher, Kim Harrison and the ilk. I love that she's not obsessed with fashion and hot men, she's a real woman, respectable while still gritty. She's not obsessed with dangerous men or worried about whether she'll ruin her good shoes in a fight. I actually alm...

Let me start by saying I'm actually giving this book a 3.5/5, but since it won't do half, I'll just round it down. Working for the Devil is an intriguing book and you can't deny that the author has an interesting premise on her hands. The problem I had with it was because the author went too in de...

I loved this book! Awesome worldbuilding, a truly kickass heroine, and oh boy did I love the demon love interest. JAPHRIMEL!!! In my head he looks like Keanu Reeves.

This novel (and presumably series) has many of the elements of urban fantasy, but it's set some time in the future, making it an urban fantasy/cyberpunk hybrid.Dante is one of the most powerful necromances (of course) and one day a demon shows up on her door and tells her the Prince, a.k.a. Satan, h...

3.5 starsI think that all the things I didn't like about this book were also all things I did like about it, just on the flip side...*This review may contain mild spoilers. I'll try to keep it at a minimum.*The book starts with Dante, a necromance who can bring back people's spirits from Death to an...

Lilith Saintcrow takes urban fantasy to the future in Working for the Devil.Dante Valentine is a Necromance contracted by Lucifer himself to fetch "the Egg". If Danny succeeds, she'll be financially set for life...but if she fails, she'll die. Lucifer sends demon Japhrimel along with Danny for prote...

New author to me and I really like this kind of story. My spouse found it at Borders and thought it would be up my alley. I enjoyed it. It was kind of weird, but the conflict is so complicated, I'm not sure it's possible to resolve. I have to devour the rest of these books.
