Reading You Against Me was like listening to a recording on high speed. All the characters' reactions seemed extreme and drastic and I couldn't understand where they were coming from at all. Downham seemed to be trying way too hard to make her characters seem relatable but they ended up seeming s...

For some reason I put off reading You Against Me for a really long time. I remember picking up the book, reading the first four chapters, and then proceeding to discard it, reading around five other books before I picked it up again last night with the intent of finishing it. 3.5 starsWhen I was at the beach as a kid, I used to regularly do this thing where I would swim out as far as I could, just to see how much distance I could cover. What an end was that???? It ended so abruptly that i just don't know what to say.I like to know how something ends not to see it in the middle....The book wasn't bad, there were places that could have been written a little bit better, but i liked it. But the end really disappointed me....

I liked both Mikey and Ellie, though they came from two completely separate worlds, and maybe that's what they saw in eachother. I never really liked Karyn (Mikey's sister) or Tom (Ellie's brother) but felt like we w...

This book moved a little slow for me but the writing was good and the plot was definitely intriguing. I loved the cover and I thought the title was "Brilliant!" as the English would say. (I also found that the voice in my head took on an "Ee-nglish" ah-cent while reading.)In "You Against Me", Mikey'...

Ellie is just trying to fit in at school and pass her exams. Mikey is working hard to support and take care of his mother and sisters. They both...
