This book gave me so much mixed signals and at one point I wanted to throw it out because I was so annoyed for Anita. She doesn't sleep AT ALL! The poor thing. Always has something after her one way or another. The whole book was just 3 days in Anita's life and man it tired me out. I don't know how ...

There were so very many things that annoyed me while I was reading this book. Not the least Anita Blake herself. I just want to whack her over the head with a baseball bat, repeatedly. Lots of bizarre, supernatural stuff goes down. The snake lady was nuts, the fight scenes were scary, and Richard was predictable. The re...

I liked Circus of the Damned better than the Laughing Corpse. There was more Jean Claude, more vampires in general... (and less innocent, baby corpses-for which I'm grateful!). Yet, Anita still kicks butt! I like that she's trying to take a moment for herself, and has a young animator to guide. (she...

I'm still so-so about this series...mainly because I find Anita annoying and all I want to do is punch her in the throat. So why do I keep reading? I like the other characters, and the story is interesting despite the main character's shortcomings (ha joke on her height). So I'll probably give the 4...
