Audiobook Review: Thrust Under by Michelle A. Valentine (Author), Emily Snow (Author), Meghan Kelly (Narrator)
Thrust Under - Meghan Kelly,Emily Snow,Michelle A. Valentine

Sleeping with enemy takes on a whole new meaning. Gabe and Maggie are my introduction to another great author. Thrust Under is a tale built on heat, misunderstandings and heart. With characters as fiery as Maggie and Gabe, it's only fitting that Meghan Kelly bring her spirited deliver on board for this sexy escapade. Valentine and Snow chose well and created a perfect fit.

Phenomenal X (Hard Knocks #1)
Phenomenal X (Hard Knocks #1) - Michelle A. Valentine Another DNF for me. I don't have patience for the dominating male who is just this side of forceful. I have issues with lack of consent - I don't find it seductive to coerce sexual situations after objections of any kind, so I'm done.

Xavier Cold (Hard Knocks) by Michelle A. Valentine (2016-01-20) - Michelle A. Valentine

Because everyone deserves a Happily Ever After!

After reading Part 1 of this story in the previous book, I couldn't wait to see how it ended!

Anna and X were forced into an arrangement that would test their relationship, and boy, did it ever! Michelle set this up so beautifully, and I was filled with anxiety about how this would play out.

Not only the arrangement with Tension, but it seemed that everyone was laying down a challenge for Anna and X, from X's childhood enemies to Anna's family.

I enjoyed reading X's transformation throughout this book, and was really rooting for him in the end. Anna, too, seemed to transform, and I was happy with the people they became.

These two definitely got the HEA they so desperately needed!

But what was his signature move?!
Phenomenal X - Michelle A. Valentine

I call foul on there being no real entertainment wrestling until the 70%! We learn that his entrance song is X Going Give It To Ya by DMX but never learn his signature wrestling move. Come on, give the people what they came here for!!!!

Look, middle school me who gasped when Stephanie McMahon decided to stay with Triple H, cheered for the Hardy Boyz, and named a gold fish Lita, kept reading this book and rated it. This honestly read like middle/high school entertainment wrestling fan fiction with its syurp-y sweet heroine and over-the-top damaged background, lacking much of a personality (we do get three or four povs from the hero), and borderline scary possessive big sexy dude. The protection of a grizzly but mostly acts like pooh bear; his personality was definitely off kilter.

This was so over-the-top and dreamy girl fan fiction-y and it's a book one, as in the heroine and hero's story doesn't end. This was fine for a slight nostalgic trip to my old WWE fan days (no mention of this in the story, just with it staring a wrestler it made me think back to those characters) but I'll be stopping here and not continuing with their story.

For a Kindle Freebie, not bad at all :)

Phenomenal X - Michelle A. Valentine

"Ready, beautiful? Let’s get you home before you turn into a pumpkin.”
I take his hand and laugh. “Did you just reference a princess story? Macho guys like you aren’t supposed to do that.”
He pulls me up against his side and wraps his arm around my shoulders. “We do if we’re hoping to be a woman’s Prince Charming someday.”

Y'all. I'm getting tipsy.
