Kyele's Passion (A World Beyond #4) by Michelle Howard Review
Kyele's Passion: A World Beyond Book 4 - Michelle Howard

Being a Jutak warrior is all Kyele Bastien cares about until one mission changes everything. The Earth female has carved a place in his heart without even trying and now he’ll do anything to make sure nothing ever hurts her again.

Rescued from a Marenian slave auction, Joni Miller is relieved to have her life back but there’s one man making it difficult to remember why she shouldn’t want to think about happy ever after any more.

An enemy’s need for revenge puts Joni in the path of danger and unleashes the fury of an elite soldier with dark abilities.

Review

This is a great romance between a kick ass weary heroine and guarded alien hero with amazing powers based on his heritage.

The the two leads are so great that little plot blips (like why would she do that) can be forgiven as we have this love story in a fully realized world, visits with other couples, and the series plot arc.

Good stuff!

Lindsey's Rescue (A World Beyond, #3) by Michelle Howard Review
Lindsey's Rescue: A World Beyond Book 3 - Michelle Howard

Lindsey Ferra signed up for Earth’s Singles Program wanting love, marriage and happiness. She found the first two but the third required a bit of work. Fighting aliens, running from aliens and making friends with aliens all seem to be on the agenda for the day. Her only question now is can she find her way back and will happiness be on the schedule this time.

Senate Leaders Baruk Laars and Zadal Gatar planned a marriage for business reasons. Their wife Lindsey gave them something else…love. Can these two work together to correct their mistake and will Lindsey be rescued before it’s too late?

Review

I have been enjoying all the books in this series but was a little worried about how dark this book would get has Lindsey had been in the hands of the slavers through out the other books.

We get the romance before she is taken and the contrast of the two heroes to her sunny personality is lovely. The falling in love with each hero and they with her is charming journey. The heroes do not have a sexual relationship but there is a nice adversary to friends to family arc here.

Lindsey shows grit in her captivity and the cast of characters widens and is a great deal of fun.

The who done it part could be better and more satisfying and the delay in the return a bit vexing but overall this is a good science fiction romance with fine world build, love story, and characters.

Torkel’s Chosen By Michelle Howard 99 cents
Torkel's Chosen - Michelle Howard

What would you do if Earth didn’t have enough men?
Would you take a chance and leave the only world you knew behind?
This is the decision Faith Reid faces. Placing all her hope in a new government program, she seizes the opportunity that offers a chance for the women of Earth to find love among the stars, on a world beyond the one they know.

How many times can one man risk rejection?
Would you give up on your dreams?
Torkel Alonson has had enough of being ignored and looked over by females on his adopted home world of Enotia. His pride has suffered and he must accept the painful truth. Females will never choose a male with his evil lineage despite his honorable service to his government’s military.

Can two people looking for the same thing find not just what they want but what they need in one another?

Torkel's Chosen - Michelle Howard

This one was a really surprisingly awesome read. I mean I had hoped it would be good, but I wasn't expecting certain aspects of this story to emotionally blow me away, but it did.

This is the first book to this series. And while it does open up doors for other characters to have their stories told, I'm still on the fence about diving into the other books. Simply because I felt this one was so good, I don't see how others could be better. Still deciding if I'll proceed further or not, but I HIGHLY recommend that if you're curious about any book in this series, please start here first.

Happy Reading :)

Arak's Love (A World Beyond, #2) by Michelle Howard Review
Arak's Love - Michelle Howard

Half-Argoran shifter, Arak O’tir knew good people existed. He worked with some of them. But as a deadly Jutak warrior, his work often took him into the less savory elements of society. So much so, he shielded his heart from those he’d rescued. That was, until one particular mission leaves him longing for a specific female. Someone who made him tremble even if she wasn’t from his world.

Sylvia Forrester never expected her quest for a husband would lead her into danger. Nor could she have ever foreseen that her search would find her captured by aliens and added to a list of potential sex-slaves to be sold for a high profit. While her captors should have broken her, destroying any hope she’d had of a life happily-ever-after, Sylvia’s savior has her wondering if her earlier dreams could still come true.

But Arak and Sylvia soon discover love and passion has its own price.

Review

This is a non stop action science fiction romance which still takes time to build a lovely romance between a cat shifter alien and a would be mail order bride that gets turned into the slave trade instead.

There is good world building here, bad ass yet tender warrior hero, and a never say die heroine.

The relationships between the women are just as strong and more intersting as those between the men. The best friend bonds are strong and loyalty and love abound.

Good stuff.
