The writing does very well at capturing the small southern town with a hint of the eery.

But, I returned to library unread because it was just too much "high school" and too much in a teenager's head (well done being in a teenager's head).

Just not my thing and not a reflection on the book, author or series.

More than a year ago out of curiosity I put this one on library ebook waiting list. Today it came available; may not be a reflection of book if I return unfinished (not into most Young Adult books).

Just starting Library ebook downloaded off waiting list (yes, I know looks like would no doubt have been perfectly suited to future Book Shelf BINGO calls; but, library books get read first).

Switching over to this one for Book Shelf BINGO (Hounded was a jumbled mess I could not get into) Yellow/Orange cover stamp.

I started last night for the just called Book Shelf BINGO Shelf, "shifter," and it's been a fun one.  Of course, I love me a loyal tiny dog — in this case the poodle who sniffs out a quietly minding their own business but stuck in same alley werewolf and perceives him as a threat to her airhead Barbie of an owner.  Poodle breaks off leash and latches into lip of huge werewolf who could swallow her with one bite but instead is just trying to shake her teeth off his lip -- owner reaches in to rescue fluff-ball, is accidentally bitten and voila is becoming a werewolf and the ladylike edges are fraying away...
