*sigh* (yes, there is an audible edition plus cd for sale on Amazon despite the redirect):
I should never have gone down the rabbit hole of browsing books on Amazon (it all started with spotting a backlist reissue from a fave author ...).
"Of all of the naughty, mischievous, disrespectful, and downright horrible things that children can be, a badling is perhaps one of the worst. Badlings abandon books without finishing them, leaving their characters sad and lonely—not to mention angry. Meet Bells, Peacock, Rusty, and Grand, four ragtag friends convicted of this monstrous crime. As punishment, they get sucked into a book of unfinished stories, whose patchwork pages they must traverse...and read to the end this time."

Apparently amazon data feed is particularly fond of changing valid book descriptions to "book by author" (boy do I feel stupid for some of the back covers I manually typed in before I stopped being a goodreads librarian). Gee, how helpful.
I'm actually not looking for these; just a next door to local bookstore bar conversation where we're trying to remember the name of a book in between Irish whisky shots ...
*sigh* here's how amazon data feed overwrote publisher's data feed book synopsis on the goodreads book page for one of my currently readings now looks:
But, let's not anyone forget that amazon data is really, really, (really!) more authoritative than book publisher or goodreads librarian edits … :(
