Ingredients

500 Gms Bottle gourd | लौकी

200 Gms Sugar | चीनी

200 Gms Dry milk | मावा

10 Nos Raisins | किशमिश

20 Leaves Saffron| केसर

Instructions

Peel off the lauki

Grate the lauki with the help of grater

Mix lauki and sugar in a pan and put on low flame

Stir and cook till sugar syrup thickens

Add Dry milk to this and mix well

Add Raisins and saffron and other Rajasthani recipes dry fruits as per your taste halwa is ready to serve

Khopra pak recipe | खोपरा पाक

Ingredients

250 Gms Sugar / शक्कर

500 Gms Drymilk | मावा

150 Gms Coconut power / खोपरा बुरा

4 Peice Cardamom / इलाइची Crushed

20 Leaves Saffron / केसर Soaked in milk or rose water

Instructions

In a pan take sugar and water. Quantity of water should be sufficient to immerse the sugar

Switch on the flame and heat on high flame till boil and then put the flame to medium. Simmer it till mixture gets thick

Thickness of sugar syrup should be such that drop of it dose not flow out on cooling of 1 minute

Add grated dry milk and mix well, continue simmering on medium flame

Continue till north indian vegetarian recipes a white line layer comes on top

Switch off the flame and add cardamom and saffron and mix well. Let the mixture rest till is cools down.

After the mixture has cooled down, add khopra bura and mix well.

Grease a tray with oil and transfer the content in tray. spread it evenly.

Garnish with chopped pistachio and almond if you like. Let it set for some time and then cut into pieces
