Before I Go to Sleep
Before I Go to Sleep - S.J. Watson,Orlagh Cassidy

Every morning, Christine wakes up in an unfamiliar bed, in an unfamiliar house shared with a man who tells her that he is her husband Ben. He tells her that she has amnesia because of an accident that happened 20 years before. It's a little bit like "What if 50 First Dates were a thriller?"

Christine gets a call from a man who identifies himself as Dr. Nash. He tells her where to find a journal she has been keeping. Maybe through the journal and interventions from Dr. Nash, she can regain lost memories and piece together what has happened to her.

I ripped through this book quickly, wanting to find out what happened. I quickly developed theories, some of which were correct--though there was a twist I did not see coming. Although I was thoroughly engaged, it did turn out the be the kind of plot where, once resolved, I thought, "But that would never happen!

And once it was over, I wished there were at least one more chapter.

One Less Problem Without You
One Less Problem Without You: A Novel - Orlagh Cassidy,Beth Harbison
I Picked Up This Book Because: I love Beth Harbison’s writing.

The Characters:

Chelsea: Up and coming actress
Diana Tiesman: Wife of Leif Tiesman who has had enough
Prinny Tiesman: Half sister of Leif Tiesman (IDK why the book constantly calls her a step sister they have the same father)

The Story:

These three women have exactly one thing in common, Leif Tiesman, the asshole who is trying to systematically ruin their lives. They ban together and don’t let him. That’s all I can say without revealing too much of the story. It is not overt and it is not a full fledged march for women’s rights but they get it. They go through a lot but they get it.

THE BEES by LALINE PAULL
The Bees - Laline Paull,Orlagh Cassidy

This book is the monthly pick for my sci-fi book club so at least a 1/3 of the way through this book I thought the bees were aliens, then I didn't think they were aliens, then I was back to thinking they were aliens, finally figuring out it's just about bees. I think I hurt my brain.

So after finishing this book (it's really about bees), I ended up really liking it and actually tearing up at the end. This author has a wonderful imagination. 4 out of 5 stars.

When in Doubt, Add Butter
When in Doubt, Add Butter - Beth Harbison,Orlagh Cassidy,Macmillan Audio

The Characters:

Gemma

The Story:

I need Ms. Harbison to write more books and faster. Also I need the publisher to hop to it as far as getting audiobooks produced. These books always seem to have the perfect narrator to bring these stories to life. And once you get hooked you’re in for the long haul. I’ve never been so happy to not be able to read a physical or eBook. This story took me through a very long wait at the hospital and I was quite sad when it was over. I could have listened about Gemma’s life forever. (view spoiler)

A Trip Down Memory Lane...
The Guilty: Will Robie, Book 4 - David Baldacci,Hachette Audio,Kyf Brewer

I'm a huge Will Robie fan and I always listen to the audio because Ron McClarty and Orlagh Cassidy always put on a fantastic performance, so I was really nervous to see The Guilty had a different male narrator, Kyf Brewer. Now he didn't 'wow' me like Ron does but he did a really good job which is saying a lot considering he had some pretty big shoes to fill.

In the previous book, The Target, we got to learn about Jessica Reel's past and family ties. Well in this book, we visit Robie's hometown of Cantrell, Mississippi and learn more about his family and childhood, much to my satisfaction. : ) His dad has not only been accused of murder but Robie has some issues to work out with his last mission.

As always is the case when Will and Jessica are involved, there is lots of action, a high death count and numerous surprise twists. If you're in the mood for a high octane thriler, this is a great series to try and if you like audiobooks -Go for the Audio!! You won't be disappointed!
