This book absolutely broke my heart. It is graphic and gut-wrenching. I read the follow-up books and they were just as good.

While extremely disturbing, with two follow ups that I plan to read, this book had me entranced and I finished it in just a few hours.

I will not write a review or give this book any stars. Not because the books are not worth reading, but because of the serious nature of the material covered in the book.

I did not like this book. But that's okay. You're not supposed to like it. It's a horrible, horrible book. A trainwreck of a book. I wanted to look away, but just couldn't. I know it's the first part in a trilogy, but I doubt I'm going to read the other two books. It was too, too depressing.Actually...

Oh wow, this was a powerful book, i cried while reading the whole thing, thinking that a little boy went through this hell. Well hell doesnt even truly cover the pain this poor boy suffered at the hands of his mother. THis started my movement toward wanting to help children. A truly powerful and ama...
