This book was on my to-read list for at least a few years before I finally got around to reading it and I finished it within a few days. One of the best books that I have read in a long time full of fascinating and deranged characters and I look forward to reading the next installment.

Doing a reread on this I might have actually loved this more than the first time. I felt like I missed a bit the first time you are introduced to so many new characters and plots. Truly one of my favorite series. Now if only the last two books would be finished

That the world of A Game Of Thrones is a brilliant epic fantasy is something I more or less expected. But the really genius part about it, the fact that it so strongly deviates from typical fantasy at the same time, was completely unknown to me, otherwise I would have read this book way earlier. The ...

"When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die."Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. The world building, the complex characters, the plot. Everything. This book is dark and sinister and brutal; it is full of violence and sex and even a hint of the supernatural; it is full of merciless characters...

Once upon a time, I refused to read GoT. Then a book club chose it, and since it was slated to come out as a mini-series, I figured why the hell not. And I read it, and the sequels, and watched the show, and now I'm one of millions that are crawling through the wasteland of wait for the next boo...

I started reading this before I watched the show, then I put it down after the first two chapters and watched the show. I picked the book back up after watching season 2 and even though I know what happens in this book because of the show it was much easier to read because I picture the actors from...

I am so proud of myself for reading this!It was actually really really good. I felt some parts did drag on, but that might be because I took an entire month to read it. Overall, it went by fast and if I didn't have to read other books at the same time, I probably could have read this in a fairly sho...

4,5 starsWow o.o I am overwhelmed by sadness and expectation. This third quarter of "Game of Thones" arose a lot of new feelings in me, including a deep hatred for Cersei Lannister, disgust towards naive Sansa Stark and an even deeper love for Eddard and Arya Stark.I praise George R. R. Martin's wor...
