Having been quite familiar with The Secret Garden growing up, I was a bit surprised that I was unfamiliar with other stories by Frances Hodgson Burnett, especially A Little Princess. True to the style and magic I remember so well, FHB delivers another enchanting childhood story filled with wonderf...

I really have to say something about this edition. This Barnes & Noble Leatherbound is exceptionally beautiful, filled with illustrations and a lay-out style that is just too cute for words! Definitely a value for money edition (just $10.80...O__o)!

And then the news came that her father had invested in diamond mines when there were none to be found, and...

I am fairly certain that I read this as a little girl and really liked it, but I didn't remember it at all. So now I've re-read it, and find that it lives up to how good I think I thought it was. Mostly. I say 'mostly' because there are a couple things that bother me about this story. But I'll get t...
