This review originally appeared at Belle's BookshelfI hate to say it, but I was disappointed with this book.I should note before I go any further that my opinion was probably doomed from the outset by high expectations, and it was pretty much impossible for me to be fair. Because, you see, while I n...
Loved it. I watched the movie over and over as a kid and I'm going to be rereading the book as an adult for years to come. It's just so comforting and warm. You can't help but get lost in Sara's imaginings along with the other girls and wish that you were a princess too.

That is not the case with A Little Princess. Sara Crewe is a wonderful, dignified character who is intelligent, kind, ...
I'd seen the movie as a child, and remembered it being a cute story, so decided to check out the book. Very cute indeed, and a lot less annoyingly sugar-sweet than I'd feared ;) But of course totally unrealistic where all good people are oh-so-good and all evil people are oh-so-evil, except for the ...
