You’d think that after reading and loving one Julie James novel, I’d enjoy the other just as much, but unfortunately, that simply wasn’t the case. A Lot Like Love follows a different storyline from Someone Like You, one just as intriguing, mysterious, and crime-filled, but unfortunately, its charact...
I liked this story with a good plot and plenty of action that moved right along. I especially enjoyed the heroine's witty banter showing she was sure of herself yet knew her limits. Heiress Jordan owns a wine store and is approached by FBI agent Nick to assist in catching a criminal.
3.5 starsThese books are the literary equivalent of Cracker Jacks for me - light, tasty and I inhale the whole thing in one sitting.Julie James is easy to read, her characters immensely likable, the stories familiar, the dialogue quick and funny, and the steam level sits right around the mid-mark. ...
so much like the last book something about you, i found this one to be a fun, and thrilling read. the chracters were likeale for sure i reallu enjoyed the brother-sister banter between jordan and kyle, they seemed to have such a fun relationship that even the strain of the circumstances under which ...
Loved this! I enjoyed the first in this series a lot but A Lot Like Love was even better. It's a charming, funny, antagonists-to-lovers story with just the right spark of suspense, sharp dialogue, wonderfully complex characters and a strong plot with a very satisfying HEA. Ms. James seems to resear...
I did enjoy this book, let me just state that now. It just felt a little...bland? Rushed? After the initial meeting and the scene at the wine bar I sort of lost interest in the mains. I wanted to know more about the brother and I had wished that Jack had more of a role in this.
My Rating: 4.0 Oh. My. Goodness. This book was good. Man, Julie James nailed it. It wasn't as good as Something About You, but A Lot Like Love is better than Just the Sexiest Man Alive and Practice Makes Perfect. A Lot Like Love had me dreaming about it, thinking about it, and devouring each page wh...

A great undercover agent, Nick doesn’t “do” relationships. With a job that takes him away from home for months at a...
Why I read it: I have sadistic friends. Some of them keep borrowing me copies of romantic fiction, especially when I am planning to go away for a day or two. I am a compulsive reader, I am an addict, I read everything, good, bad and ugly and they take advantage. Sometimes I shrug these offers off, s...
