I love a story with a rogue and a story where a supposed plain Jane (and her rogue) is transposed by love and desire. I believe a woman knowing she is desired and loved can make a plain Jane glow with a beauty that can't help but show itself to the world. Buy this title at Powells Books

I love reading romance books that stray just a bit of the usual formula to thinks things seem new. This had everything: great female character...I don't always like them, most being a bit too mewling and weak. Or mistaking being shrill with being strong. But Penelope was strong in her own right and ...

4.5 starsWhen he was only just 21, Michael Lawler, the Marquess of Bourne lost his entire fortune, except the family estate entailed to him, in a card game to his former guardian, Viscount Langford. I don't know why this one appealed to me so much, but I loved it. The hero spent a good deal of the book being a jerk, and still, I didn't care. I will read the next in the series.

Very delicious fun read. I was debating whether to give this a 4 or 5 star but the characters and dialogue were so engaging I couldn't not give this an extra star for it. Well done! I've read one other book by Sarah Maclean but wasn't blown away by it but this one I enjoyed very much. I did feel the...

After having read so many insipid, good, but uncomplicated Regency romances lately, this book was a breath of fresh air for me.The Marquess of Bourne had a dissolute youth, and lost his family estate to of at through a game of cards, and decides to make it his mission in life to get his estate back...

Typically in historical romances, we see the proper side of society. So when I read A Rogue by Any Other Name it was a refreshing change. Bourne may be a Marquess, but he is also the owner of the most infamous gaming hell in London. It caters to men who want to gamble and indulge in other things a...

I hated that Tommy had to leave and their conversation was if he was never coming back and I hate when there is something like this in a book. And I hated the epilogue, the epilogue should be for the couple - their end, their happily ever after not for some other couple, if I wanted to read about th...
