Well, well. This isn't as easy as it looks, because I actually enjoyed this book and read it in one sitting while constantly reminding myself that it really wasn't great writing at all. And it really isn't great writing in any circumspect; but great entertainment? Perhaps. When you're an Austen-addic...

pride and prejudice is one of my favorite books so one can understand any skepticism I had for a rewriting in a different point of view but I found myself really enjoying this book and so I bestow upon it five stars!

I still really don't know what to think about this book. It's so odd. If it was a painting I'd describe it as mannerist.

I'm not sure if I ever wondered what Elizabeth and Darcy's life would have been liked after Jane Austen ended their story, but I didn't expect a somewhat more relaxed Darcy to agree to a somewhat spur of the moment decision to traipse off to Egypt. At long last, I have finished reading Jane Austen Made Me Do It, a collection of short stories inspired by Jane Austen. But please don’t think my reporting to you that it took a long time to read is any indication that I didn’t like this collection, for I enjoyed it immensely. But it is a perfect pic...

Monday 9th September"I left London today and met Bingley at Netherfield Park. I had forgotten what good company he is; always ready to be pleased and always cheerful. After my difficult summer, it is good to be with him again. ..."The only place Darcy could share his innermost feelings was in the pr...

I loved the original Sense and Sensibility, and the 1995 movie. I don't normally buy into the Jane Austen "sequels" and knock-offs, but Brandon is a favorite so this title intrigued. I thought it was well written and provided an interesting supplement to the story. I wish, however, the story hadn't ...
