If you have been reading this blog or knowing me for some time, you will perhaps already know this, but I LOVE Jane Austen. Pride and Prejudice is my all-time favourite novel and I try to reread it at least once a year. Which is in fact due around Christmas I think :)So I was really excited to read ...

I hate to admit this, but Pride and Prejudice is possibly my least favorite Austen novel. Terrible but true. (I'm a Persuasion and Sense and Sensibility fangirl all the way.) I say this to explain that I don't have any deep emotional attachment to Elizabeth and Darcy, which is why I love P&P insp...

A wonderful collection of short stories by some of my favorite Austenesque authors! I was also introduced to some new ( to me) authors. If you enjoy short stories and especially the Austenesque genre, I think you'll love this collection.

As always like with all stories, some I liked some not so much. Some I wanted to read more of because they were good, and some I thought also needed to be longer because I was just confused when they were so short. I found that my favorite stories where the ones that were set in the present day and had to do with Jane Austen rather then the ones that were spin offs of the books or had Jane Austen as the main character in them. That's the great thi...

What a fun collection of stories, all inspired in one way or another by Jane Austen! Some feature Jane Austen herself, like one that has her confronted by angry versions of some of her own characters who are extremely unhappy with the personalities she gave them, and another that has her haunting p...

Captain Wentworth’s diary is one of the diaries of Jane Austen heroes written by Amanda Grange. This is the fourth Amanda Grange novel for me, and I truly enjoyed it like I did with the previous novels as well. The reviews to the previous Amanda Grange titles I’ve read can be found from these links:...

Mr. Darcy’s Christmas Carol by Carolyn Eberhart - 1 starI really tried to give this novella a good chance. However, it just didn’t pull me in. I found it to be lacking in many places, so unfortunately I did not finish it. However, I know many others enjoyed this novella and found it the best out of ...

Plot:There are three stories in this book. Mr Darcy's Christmas Carol by Eberhart is the story where Mr Darcy meets three spirits of Christmas, sounds familiar, well it is. He sees the past, the present, and a future he does not want. He better make amends. The Christmas Present by Amanda Grange has ...
