Original review:Colin makes a bit more sense to me by the end of the book. I think the last few chapters pulled it up from a 2-star to a 3-star read for me. Editted 4-27-13: I have been thinking about this book rather often since reading it, which is a sign of a good book if you ask me. Better th...

Out of John Green's more popular books from Looking for Alaska to Paper Towns, I figured An Abundance of Katherines was as ideal a starting point as any, less because it is among Green's least-reviewed works than because its blurb hit enough right notes for me to need no further convincing. A child ...

This review and more on Sab The Book EaterThe first John Green book I read was The Fault in Our Stars, and I loved it. You can see now that I had high hopes for Katherines. Sadly, my expectations were not met. I think part of the problem is my lack of knowledge when it comes to John Green books. I ...

It wasn't as funny as I have expected it to be. Though it seems that the book centers about breakups and all those Katherine Dumpers, for me the life realizitions made a greater impact. It wasn't as good as The Fault in Our Stars and the characters did not really stood out a lot (even though Colin i...

This was a really good YA book - I think it'd be great for nerdy or outcast kids since the protagonist doesn't feel he really fits in with anyone. It's about a child prodigy who grows up (I think he's currently 17) and is terrified that he's going to follow the usual path for child prodigies and bec...

3.5 actually.I enjoyed this story. I found it thoughtful and poetic. My only problem was that I really only connected with the character of Lindsey. I will admit they made a cute couple towards the end. ;)I'd recommend this book for all Green fans.Devlin

In which Our Hero takes a road trip and almost learns that Girls Are People, Too! The set-up and stylistic points are charming, but I seriously would have preferred to read an entire book about Our Hero's slacker, Muslim, wannabe ladies' man sidekick. Our Hero is supposed to be annoying, but I often...

I was kind of saddened by how much I was not overly excited about this book. I typically love John Green books. I struggled with connecting with these characters in general. Even tho if was explained, the use of the words "fugger" and "fug" was really annoying. I found Colin to be way too self ...

This was an ok telling of a road trip with two teen boys.: Colin and Hassan. Colin is a super smarty pants who loves anagrams and girls named Katherine. 19 of his previous girlfriends all shared that name. Hassan is his best friend/sidekick. Thank goodness for Hasan because he livens up the dialogu...
