This novel was better than the previous novel in this series ([book:Angelica]). However, the novel read very much like a thinly veiled critique of a fundamentalist Islamic society (no pun intended). If you're looking for that sort of thing I would recommend [book: Terrorists of Irustan] instead.

Ms. Shinn's angel books completely blew me away. Each one brings an additional nuance to a world she created with so much plausible future state. I enjoyed this one as we learn even more about how the Angels came to be and why the secret is suppressed.
