This story says it is influenced by beings from the future in order to ensure their own existence and I believe them. I know there are lots of people who write books like that nowadays and I’m not sure I do always believe them and this is probably a mistake. I think future influence is probably a lot easier than we imagine.
According to this book the real nature of time is a single overarching higher dimensional state not unlike the sky above us. We individually do not live over the whole earth under the sky but we can see the whole sky. In a similar way, though not with an eye, we can see the whole of time, or a better way of putting it is to say that the whole of time can see us. What we see is much more like close fog. We can hear from beyond the fog and I would say that is like our dreaming and our creative imagining and in time we can build up a picture of what is beyond the fog. I don’t know if any of us ever gets to see the whole sky but it is there present with us. In the course of writing this book I think I have occasionally been given glimpses of the far horizon. I think I am right in believing we have an infinite future. This book is intended to spread that awareness. I apologise for its shortcomings and request your patience in dealing with them. I believe, like your first encounter with the inhabitants of a flying saucer, it will infinitely repay the effort made to get to know them, which at first will not be just a matter of language but of an entire alien universe. However, one thing I have discovered is that aliens are frightfully good at telepathy and once you’ve knocked about with them a bit you become good at it too. They also have a sense of humour, which might take a bit of getting used to but will repay you because they know all the best jokes in the universe.
