So this book got off to a slow start for me. I wasn't really invested in it until about half way through. For a long time the reader is in the dark about what was going on, which might be enticing for some people, but it left me frustrated. Once things pick up though, I found it interesting.
Lively and creative, Garth Nix's Sabriel shines with imagination and invention. The magic system is simple, but clever and unique to his world.
