Very nice art, very captivating story until around issue 3, where you realize that the idea of the story as a "mystery" is very misleading. Predictable, wtf-ery flaws in continuity (how did they find out what the name of the bad guy was??). But it's a good idea, perhaps Snyder's proto-Court of Owls,...
Well done story. I do have one big complaint with it - it's pre-Flashpoint, so it's got the old Damien Wayne, who is an obnoxious prat.
A guy in a steampunk diving suit is blowing up buildings and bridges in Gotham City. Very nice art from Trevor McCarthy, particularly the flashback sequences of Gotham in the 1880's.
As usual, the city lives and breathes in Snyder's work. I should have read this one before starting his Batman, Vol. 1: The Court of Owls series.
