I wanted to give this book 4 stars but I'm not really satisfied with how it ended so it's getting 3 instead. This story doesn't really conform to the ways most shifters tales are. It wasn't exactly awe-inspiring.I feel like the way the progression is handled isn't quite effected. It was rather muddled.Still, an interesting character piece, I think.

Not bad. Scary in spots. MC's could have been flushed out a bit more. Story could have been a little tighter. Not sure I believed the MC's would have been as easy about there predicament. However I've never been kidnapped so I really don't know. There is a rape scene. I really wish I had known. 2.5 ...

A short story that could have been really could with some depth and character development. Too many things were unexplained, vague or glossed over. I did like both Zach and Mal and really would have appreciated more details of both. In and of itself, nothing to write home about.
