I don't need to say much about this book. If you've read this series up to this point, just expect the same amount of grit in this book as well. Chess still makes mistakes which is frustrating but things seem to end well as much as it could in the Downside world.
Awesome, awesome, awesome! This series gets better and better. This had the perfect mix of Terrible, Lex, and Elder Griffith. Chess challenges your patience with her typical self destructive tendencies, but the big bad came and she had to shape up quickly. Mz Kane has a knack for making the sca...
Holy.Hell This book took me on one hell of a ride. Once again Stacia Kane delivers an effing masterpiece. I think I highlighted the whole book. The plot was awesome, kept me guessing until the very end. As usual. Chess is still her self-destructive self and I wanted to smack her. But I did see a gli...
She's done it again! How does she keep doing this to me? Just when I think Stacia Kane has sent me on every possible emotional roller coaster imaginable, there she is again with ride tickets clutched in her hand and a wicked gleam in her eye.I am somewhat conflicted about certain elements of this bo...

Chess’s carefully constructed life is about to explode. So far, she’s done a pretty admirable job of keeping all areas of her life separate and unaware. Her co-workers don’t know how connected to Downside she really is, and Downside only sees the witch part of her. She’s madly in love with Terrible,...
