Actually, I'd rate this ★★★★☆ for almost the first half but ★★☆☆☆ for the last portion. Opened unexpectedly exciting with great worldbuilding and sympathetic heroine. Harder to explain why I didn't care for the finish as much. End not quite as good on the story flow, but not enough to account fo...

I didn't expect to like this story as much as I did. I appreciate how the main character isn't dopey or lovestruck. She's strong and has a lot of heart. I got into the whole sci-fi element also. I think I expected this to resemble Cinderella more, but the similarities aren't to do with the actua...

I picked up this book because I was in a literary drought and needed an easy read to get me back on track. (I'm 12 books behind my schedule this year, tsk, tsk.)As a retelling of Cinderella as a cyborg in a futuristic society, there were two elements that made Cinder interesting.1. The WorldThe plac...

I had so much fun with this book! It's certainly not perfect and the "mystery" is completely evident early in the story, but this doesn't make you lose interest in knowing what's going to happen next. I loved Cinder and Kai, and I can't wait to read them again in the next installment. Five stars!
