This was the month of rereads for me. Another childhood favorite :)This book is insanely fun and inspired. I cannot think of enough good things to say about it.
Short & sweet. This was a cute book with a willful, intelligent, kind, and capable female protagonist m/ That's why it gets most of its stars, really, that and that it was quick and to the point. But it also wasn't all that developed.
My friends and I were having a discussion about audiobook recommendations and one of them brought out Dealing with Dragons. She didn’t have the audiobook version, but apparently it is very good. She instead had a text-copy, which I immediately started eye-balling because it was a. short (so I wouldn...
I didn’t really “get” Cimorene at first. I mean, yeah, special snowflake princess, whatever. She was “special” because she wasn’t stereotypically girly like the OTHER princesses, which was disappointing. You can be girly AND be an awesome heroine and I thought that Dealing with Dragons was saying th...
Reading this book again for the first time since childhood, I was surprised to find how well it held up. I still adore this book. The writing is a little bit terse (okay, more than a little) but it's also a nice change from books that get bogged down in set-up and spend a hundred pages before anyt...
There isn't much to say about this book. it's hilarious. unconventional, the solutions to the problems are so simple you must aprreciate them. espicially in a time authors try to make things so complicated that their solution and endings seem rushed and diappointing. Cimorene is fantastic, and the c...
Awesome awesome awesome! Super cool princess and her nice adventure. A great kid read :) You know what, it reminds me of [b:The Princess Bride|21787|The Princess Bride |William Goldman|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1327903636s/21787.jpg|992628], with tons of irony and sacarsm, but then it turns more ...
I really loved this series when I was younger. Cimorene is smart and capable, and the book has a great sense of humor. And though she has a love interest in later books, this one stands on its own quite well and shows that she doesn't need one. The focus on female friendship instead is quite nice.
