Angielska prowincja przełomu XVIII I XiX wieku. Panowie Bingley i Darcy szybko nawiązują znajomości, lecz poza szczerą sympatią okazują także poczucie wyższości, a nawet uprzedzenia w stosunku do panien z prowincji. Najbardziej oburzona takim traktowaniem jest Elizabeth Bennet. Jej urażona duma nie pozwala dojść do głosu innym uczuciom.

4.0 Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
This is by far Jane Austen’s most popular book, and while as a kid I found it dull and slow, re-reading as an adult I had a great time with it. It’s easy to see where that popularity comes from. Have Jane Austen's works become an antidote to a harshness in the world? Are they a key to disarming totalitarian societies? To making the world decide to be ha...

4.0 [REVIEW] Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
I finally finished this book! YAY! My goodness, it took me forever to do so. It's as romantic as I had expected but also very difficult to keep track of all the Miss Bennetts. Lindsey Duncan's narration was delightful and she infused it with a lot of emotion. Before reading/listeningI have tried many...

4.0 Review: Pride and Prejudice
Although I loved reading from an early age, I didn’t usually enjoy the classics we were required to read for school. In my adult years, I’ve mostly avoided them aside from several science fiction and fantasy classics. As a result of a conversation in a thread on another site, I decided to read one...
