This is one of those books I read after the entire solar system read it. Dear Dan and Robert were tattooed in my brain thanks to all the media and friends. Before reading it, I was out of their circle. And if today I'd still be out of their circle, it would be fine. Because I wasn't missing anything...
I’ve had this on my bookshelf for a few years now and after watching the movie decided it was time for me to read it. I think perhaps I would have enjoyed it more had I not watched the movie first as I kept comparing it to the book throughout. I chose to read this solely because I enjoyed the film...
What I do remember about this book is that the most powerful scene is the beginning, and afterwards it's just a downward spiral. I did enjoy the plot, got carried away with the characters, was anxious to see what more could this bring to me, but this all was constantly shadowed by what I think was b...

This was a fun book that, even if the story behind it is kind of wild, had the positive side effect of getting me to look at a bunch of famous paintings to see what Brown was talking about. This is a case where the book is much, much better than the movie.
