Elvis Presley: a son, a father, a husband, and a legend in the music industry. Known in most households by a simple utterance of only his first name, even several years after his brief life was tragically surrendered to drugs in his later years, surrounded by gang thugs instead of the many adoring fans prepared to move for him at the very drop of a hat. This case study visits his childhood experience, the transition from a job on the road to a career that was founded after visiting a recording studio of his own accord, to an abundant professional music career that would span across more countries than anyone could have imagined even at that time. Elvis’ life is explored and concluded upon abstractly as well, concluding with a fundamental understanding of whether psychology is both instrumental and influential in developing a case study on one’s life, applying principles of psychology to a work environment, and how these concepts could be further implemented within one’s own life. Substantial consideration is given to the exploration of the importance in understanding oneself before possessing the capacity in which to understand others.
