This is an anthology. I will forewarn all readers now so that my review and rating is better understood.I think Jack Dann did a fair enough job picking out stories to put together for this book Some I liked better than others so I will be rating and reviewing (briefly) each story individually.1) D...

While reading this book, I just came across this article: http://factualfacts.com/funny-facts/a-man-tried-to-rob-a-bank-after-paying-500-to-a-wizard-to-make-him-invisible/It's pretty unusual that an anthology ever gets more than 3 stars from me - after all, tastes differ, and in any random selection...

A wonderful compendium of 19 short stories, written by some of the biggest names in fantasy writing, including Peter S. Beagle, Tad Williams, Gregory Maguire, and Tanith Lee, some of my personal favorites- and all centering around dragons of all types. From lands of fantasy to present day, from evil...

Gaiman, Hobb, Hanover, Carey and Beagle I liked. Others have already been mostly forgotten. Some were agony to get through. And I am not fond of short stories in general.

Audbiobook. I do own the hardback. Anthology. 3.44 stars average. So, for such a large anthology, this one was better than average because usually the larger they are, the worse the rating. Introduction The bastard stepchild by George R.R. Martin. I was surprised he didn't include his own shor...

This is the first collection I've read in a long while that is all good or better. There isn't a stinker in the bunch! My favorites were:Jonathan Stroud's "Bob Choi's Last Job": Bob Choi goes after a dragon who is hiding in human form, eating humans, and stacking their bones neatly in the alley. D...
