Am I missing something? Why is this so popular? Eloise is a terrible child. While I might be able to read this to my 2.5 year old twins and have them enjoy the illustrations, there is no way I could read it to my 5 year old without him trying to emulate her horrible behavior. Because if its okay ...

When I was younger, I remember watching the Eloise television series all the time. They were my favorite! It is about a young girl that grew up in a luxurious hotel and I found it fascinating. I recently ran across this book and thought it would be a great one to share in my classroom for some of th...

This is another books I really see the girls in my future classroom loving! These book are probably most appropriate for a 4th grade classroom. This would be a book I would just have in my classroom library and have them read it for pleasure. These books are also movies that I could inform the class...

I'm conflicted about this one. On the positive side, our almost-3-year-old loved Eloise Takes a Bawth. Since we checked it out of the library, she's asked almost every night for me to read "Eloise take BAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWTTTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHH!!!!" as her bedtime story. Hilary Knight's illustrations are ab...

Spunky, creative, pink, scibble, skitter, sklonk, all of these and many more might, just might begin to put into words how much I lov...

Almost too cute -- Cinderella looks prepubescent! -- but I really liked the playful mice and cats and other details, as well as the touch of humor added to the spats of the step-sisters. Aside from Knight's sweet, blue-dominant illustrations, this is a pretty standard retelling of the fairy-tale, bu...

I know this a perennial favorite but this book didn't do anything for me. Eloise is a spoiled child living in a hotel. The story of how she spends her time left me wanting to enforce a little parental attention. Perhaps I am past the prime age for this one.
